Kursgården Lindsberg is a non-profit foundation that run courses and meetings in the big house. At times it has also contained a small profit part run as a small business mainly renting out rooms outside of the non-profit operation.
We are now looking for a Manager to develop the business part. It will for instance be to develop the hostel operation, start operations with long term workspace quests, arrange events, dinners and so on.
You will be employed by the foundation and responsible for the hole business operation and answer directly to the board. It will be like a CEO for a small company or a Branch Manager with full liability of all aspects of running the business part of Lindsberg. As a business manager, you are the manager responsible for your part of the organization. You will plan and develop the business, manage administration and finances, be responsible for customer reception and marketing, take care of the vegan restaurant with space for over 50 guests and you have personnel responsibility in case that the business will require employees. The position requires that you work with both the practical operations, the administrative parts, strategic development and have a profit responsibility towards the board. Your work schedule will depend on the bookings. You need to be comfortable with a flexible workload and be available on short notice.
The business part will have to interact with the non-profit part in many aspects as schedule and space planning, property management and development and the restaurant. The business part has to be aligned with the purpose clause of the foundation.

Due to a large amount of international guests, fluency in English is a requirement.
Formal educations are good but we emphasize your personality and your personal experience more since this operation is so complex and shifting.

You have a good ability to manage work and are good at planning and thinking strategically. Accurate and efficient. You are a doer that get things done. Requirements:
· Fluent English and Swedish
· Experience in hostel management from the floor to the top
· Experience or formal education in any of administration, economy, leadership or management
· Experience in running a vegan and vegetarian restaurant serving 50 guests or more Visa mindre

Hi,
Kursgården Lindsberg is looking for a Hostel Manager to manage the day to day activities of running the hostel. You are expected to manage bookings and check the guests in and out. You will also have the responsibility to keep the facilities clean, order and organize the food and take care of the hostel's daily economy. Some guests request breakfast and dinner and you are therefore expected to prepare meals for the guests from time to time.
Since Kursgården Lindsberg is also a retreat center, once or twice a month there will be large groups of people coming to stay at Lindsberg. As a hostel manager you will, beside taking care of the rooms, act as support in the kitchen during these events.
Kursgården Lindsberg’s business is non-profit and small and you would be expected to work around 60%. You will be offered a fixed monthly payment but the workload varies between weeks and months and will entail mostly weekends and evenings. You need to be comfortable with a flexible workload and be available on short notice.
Due to the location and limited access of public transportation, it is required that you live nearby Bergsgården, Falun or have access to a car.
Due to a large amount of international guests, fluency in English is a requirement.
Merit will be given if you have
Previous experience in hostel management
Experience with hostel sites such as Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb
Experience cooking vegetarian and vegan food for 50 people or more Visa mindre
