One of our CAE Specialists has moved on to another role within the company and for that reason we are looking for a new colleague. As a CAE Specialist you work closely together with our development and design engineers and perform FE simulations and calculations to verify product and component properties. The work is usually conducted in customer or development projects but does also include providing expertise and support to other functions within the company.

You will work with a broad range of products within train connection systems, including both couplers and gangways.

You belong to the CAE team and report to the Project Engineering Manager, the position is placed in Vika, Falun

 Your Role


• Create, run and troubleshoot non-linear explicit and implicit Finite Element Models.
• Perform simulations and calculations to verify product and component properties.
• Create and communicate CAE reports, internally and externally.
• Secure simulations and calculations in customer projects.
• Provide technical support and expertise cross functionally within the company.
• Analyse and interpret external reports and test results from customers and suppliers.

We assume


• You have a master’s degree within the area of Mechanical Engineering.
• Have at least two years of experience within CAE.
• Experience of CAD, preferably Inventor and Vault
• You are fluent spoken and written in English.

Success factors


• Good technical understanding and analytical skills.
• Previous experience in working with LS-Dyna or ANSA will be an advantage.
• Team orientated with good interpersonal skills and cooperation with colleagues and other departments.
• You have a customer service orientated approach and ability to understand customer needs.

As a Test engineer you add value to our customers by ensuring safety and quality in testing and verification of our products.  You are responsible for the testing and verification in a broad range of products within train connection systems, with a special focus on couplers.

You are a part of the Test team and work closely with development department to evaluate products and prototypes in an early stage of product development as well as other engineering functions and project managers. The projects have a great variation in size and scope and your role ranging from being an advisor to other departments and working hands-on with testing, producing test procedures and results according to company standard.

Your role


• Contribute with test procedure, result and test plan in customer projects
• Produce test procedures including test set-up in CAD/Inventor
• Prepare test equipment
• Participate in the first assembly and perform first article inspection
• Perform test according to procedures and document the result
• Produce test result reports – both for customers and internal documentation
• Advice colleagues in testing procedures for new products
• Propose design improvements for development of new products

 We assume


• You have a BSc in Engineering or equivalent
• Preferably relevant technical work experience
• Fluent in spoken and written English and preferably Swedish
• Good technical understanding and analytical skills
• CAD experience

• Prior knowledge of ISO17025
